“Montréal Capitale: An Interactive Experience” is a virtual tour of the Old Montréal neighborhood, produced by Pointe-à-Callière, Montréal Archaeology and History Complex. This project is the result of a collaboration between researchers and 3D reconstruction specialists.
It offers an immersive experience that allows history enthusiasts, high school students, and post-secondary students to discover Montréal between 1844 and 1849—a forgotten capital of the Province of Canada.
In the city’s streets, you’ll meet fascinating figures and discover authentic objects, along with landmark events from Montréal’s political and cultural scene.
Made possible through Digital Museums Canada, an investment program administered by the Canadian Museum of History.
